Period Panteez at The Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon Expo
Period Panteez was a booth sponsor at The Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon Expo providing a much-needed product
for many female marathon runners - many with periods and many with light incontinence. In fact, here is what one Boston & Cincinnati Marathon runner said
after purchasing a pair and then running in them this year, "I purchased your product at the Cincinnati
Marathon. Ignoring the marathon advice of 'Never try something new', I decided to wear the Period Panteez
because I had my period. Normally when I wear a pad for a long run, I experience chaffing in the crease
of my legs. Not only did I not get my normal chaffing, I did not get any chaffing at all from the waist down.
The garment fit snug, kept the pad in place and did not chafe around the leg or waist. I will definitely be
purchasing another pair." (-- Gail from Boston, MA).

Period Panteez 1st Annual School Supplies Drive
Period Panteez is proud, honored, and humbled to say that our 1st Annual School Supplies
Drive was a huge success! Period Panteez was able to donate all of the necessary
school supplies for all 15 of the precious children at our local shelter, from paper
to pens, rulers to highlighters, and everything in between.
By going through the ads and watching the in-store sale items over the span of a
month's time, we were able to get items for a fraction of the retail price.
We were picking up folders for 1¢, rulers for 10¢, and spiral bound notebooks for
17¢. We called our local shelter in advance and asked how many children they had
as guests, which helped us to plan accordingly.
Period Panteez would like to encourage other businesses and individuals to do the same.
When you're school shopping with your kids or just walking by the school supplies while
you're at the store, if you are able, please pick up a couple of items for a child in need.
Whether it be a ruler, a couple notebooks, or a pack of ballpoint pens, it's our
responsibility to ensure that every child is equipped with what they need to live their
best life possible, period. It takes a village ... and we are the village.

Ohio Inventor Launches The Period Pride Movement, In Hopes That All Ladies Will Have A Proud Period... Period!
Entrepreneur, inventor, and healthcare professional, Vida, of Cincinnati, Ohio, launched the "Period Pride Movement" on Friday, June 22, 2012! It wasn't until after inventing Period Panteez, which were launched in March, that Vida realized just how ashamed ladies are about having their period. "Period Panteez really opened my eyes to how embarrassed girls truly are about their periods", Vida said. "I was aware that authentic, well-made period underwear were absolutely lacking and needed for all women who menstruate, as it was the inspiration for my product. But after realizing how humiliated ladies are about menstruation, I knew that I had to launch a movement to help change the taboo about periods!
Vida feels that through education and communication, the ignorance and false stigma associated with periods can be reversed. "I didn't learn anything about women's menstrual cycles until I was a grown man. Menstruation was never discussed or explained to me at home nor at school", replied Chris, Vice President of Period Panteez. There are many great websites now to help educate girls and guys alike about menstruation, what to expect, and what ladies experience, both physically and emotionally, such as http://www.periodpanteez.com.
Statistics show that on average, girls get their first period at age 12 and menstruate for approximately 40 years of their lives. Studies have shown that at or about 'period' age, a higher number of girls stop playing sports, become less active, and even drop out of gym class at school.
As Vida so poetically stated on the Period Pledge website, "It is an inevitable occurrence. It is a woman's rite of passage. It is a gift from God. Without it, life wouldn't even exist. And way too many of us are ashamed of it! Our period must be celebrated and we should be proud of it, period!"
To join the movement, please visit http://www.periodpride.org now to take the Period Pride Pledge!
